Privacy Policy
How PanSnap handles your data — fridge photos, generated menus and account information.
Last updated: 2026-08-25
Introduction
PanSnap (pansnap.app) turns your fridge photos and ingredient lists into dinner menus. This Privacy Policy explains what data we handle, why, and the choices you have.
The short version: we only process what is needed to generate your menu, we never sell your data, and you can delete your content at any time.
What We Collect
- Account data — email address and password (hashed), created when you sign up. Used to identify your account and secure access.
- Ingredient inputs — the fridge photos or ingredient lists you submit. These are sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini for analysis, APIMart for images) for the sole purpose of generating your menu.
- Generated results — the menus, recipes, shopping lists and images produced for you, stored so you can revisit them from "My Menus".
- Usage records — credit transactions and order history, kept for billing accuracy and support.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not use your fridge photos to train AI models.
- We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
- We do not collect data from children under 13 (and ask that they not use the service).
Third-Party Processors
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared | |---|---|---| | Google Gemini (via 302.AI) | Menu & recipe text generation | Your ingredients input | | APIMart (GPT Image 2) | Food photography generation | Image prompts derived from your menu | | Creem / Stripe | Payment processing | Email, payment details (handled by the processor) | | Cloudflare | Hosting, database and storage | Encrypted application data |
These processors act under their own privacy policies; we share only the minimum data needed to deliver the feature.
Data Retention & Deletion
Generated menus are kept until you delete them (or delete your account). Account deletion removes your profile, generated menus and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for accounting law.
Cookies
We use a small set of essential cookies for login sessions and language preference. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will announce it on this page with an updated date above.
